Enjoi’s Louie Barletta, Marc Johnson, Jerry Hsu, Dwindle TM Tony Rodriguez, Anthony Acosta, Deca’s Luis Cruz, and Black Labels “Grim”Ricky Espinoza, will now be adding “Pink” to their list of sponsors. What is pink? Well it got started in late September by Tony Rodriguez and Louie Barletta. It’s pretty much nothing right now. They might make some tees and stickers in the future though. As soon as word started spreading around about the new company the people mentioned above immediately wanted to be involved. Expect the team list to grow daily. Who knows what it might become. In the meantime expect the word “PinK” to be spray painted on top of griptape world wide. Oh and Marc J also mentioned that when the “team” gets too big we will be starting a sub/company called Team 80′s.

The 3rd annual Tim Brauch Memorial Skate Jam is on for October 13th at the Milpitas Vans Skatepark.

The new Transworld video will feature the entire Circa Team on tour in Europe. VideoRadio is due to hit stores late Oct.

Toy Machine is looking for sick ams. Spread the word. Austin Stephens is working on a Thrasher and a Big Brother interview. Ed Templeton was in Toronto, Canada with Heath Kirchart filming for the new Emerica video. Then he stopped by the Xbox World Championships to place third in street.

Patrick Melcher and Ben Gilley have joined Richie Belton as ams on Destroyer.

1984′s video “Let it Bleed,” has finished editing and should be in shops by late October. Al Partanen was added to the team and will be featured in Let it Bleed.

Kenny Reed is moving to Barcelona, Spain on the 1st of October for 2 months in order to finish his part for the up and coming New Deal video “7 Year Glitch“. Kenny was recently added to the FKD bearing team. Rob Gonzalez, Chad Tim Tim, Chad Bartie, and Fabrizio Santos will be going on tour with Ricki Bedenbaugh filming through out the Southwest for 10 days. Ryan Johnson is in Portland with Anthony Claraval for 10 days also filming for “7 Year Glitch”. Lincoln Ueda recently broke his ankle at Bob Burnquist’s ramp filming for the video but should be back on the board within a month or two. Ricky Oyola has been keeping all of his footage top secret from the whole team, not even Giant’s Staff videographer Ricki Bedenbaugh knows what he’s got. The whole team has been putting everything they got into this video. The release date is set for 02-02-02 so be on the look out for it.

Blind’s Ronnie Creager and Corey Sheppard recently went on a filming/photo trip out to Las Vegas with Digital’s Bill Weiss and photographer Theo Hand. Expect to see the footage in a Digital Video soon…Josh Kasper just got back from New York where he spoke and did a demo for a local Church.

Starting October 27th, the Santa Cruz Skateboards team will be traveling through Nevada, Utah, and Colorado for its Commit Yourself tour. A grand prize winner in each of the three stops will win a day to hang, film and shoot with Santa Cruz team riders Jayme Fortune, Steffan Attardo, Stacy Lowery, Damian Smith and Jason O’Dell. Six runner-up winners at each tour stop will receive a ton of skateboard product.  To enter to win, kids will pay $3 per entry and sign up at a local shop in Sparks, Nevada; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Denver, Colorado. All proceeds generated from entrants will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation ®.  The tour peaks at the Southside Skatepark Make-A-Wish Event on November 10th and 11th.  See scskate.com for detls on the Commit Yourself Tour.

Status’s Harold Daltin is going back to Brazil to nurse his broken arm.  He will return the first of the year. Jim Bates managed to tear ligaments in his shoulder and give himself 10 staples in his head after trying to kickflip a huge gap. Mike Rosa won best trick at the surf expo in Orlando, FL.  Look for Mike in the new Westside video and Logic #9.

Freshjive Manufacturing is proud to announce the addition John Cardiel to their skate team. With Eric Bork’s recent departure for 2 years their team is as follows: Damian Bravo, John Cardiel, Daniel Castillo, Cairo Foster, Mike Taylor, Gino Iannucci, and Mike York.

Deca Full Length Video should be done very soon. Some gnarly tricks have been going down the last few days as the deadline for footage gets closer and closer. Expect full parts from the whole team.

Eric Koston took a much needed break last week in Hawaii after winning the Gravity Games. He is preparing to leave with the eS team on the Australia Tour in November.

Rick McCrank is planning a road trip this week, driving from Vancouver to Huntington Beach, CA. On his way down, Rick will be hitting almost every major skate park with 411′s Anthony Claravall and Slap’s own Joe Brook, putting together “A Day In The Life Of” and an interview in Slap. Be on the look out for him at a Northern California skate park near you!

Rodrigo Teixeira currently in Huntington Beach, CA, residing with fellow ‘es team rider Arto Saari. He is in the US as well after an spending the summer back home in Europe filming his part for the upcoming Flip video, due out in February of next year. Tom Penny is currently residing in Barcelona, Spain, the newly acclaimed “best city for skateboarding”, ever! He too is finishing up his part for the Flip video.

Paul Rodriguez is preparing to leave on a road trip up to Reno,NV with fellow City Stars team riders to attend another premiering of the City Stars video in San Francisco and Reno, NV.

Aesthetics is currently wrapping up their first video project titled “Ryde or Die Vol. 1“, due out  this holiday season. The video will feature pros Kevin Taylor, Rob Welsh & Clyde Singleton & ams Joey Pepper & John Igei.

Rumors have been floating around that Brad Staba is on Enjoi. This is not true. At least not yet…But what we “can” say is that enjoi hasjust added a new team rider to the team and he goes by the name of Bobby Puleo. Louie Barletta is ready to go pro! Expect a board in shops early next year.

Chris Cole just finished shooting for his Big Brother Interview, isalready starting on a Slap one, and wants to get a Transworld Video Part, this guy doesn’t stop!

Tilt Mode Army’s second video “Man Down” is out in shops now, and it features almost all the Enjoi team.

Kenny Hughes has just been added to the Blacktop Griptape team.

Eric Dressen has launched a new line of skateboards for sale to the public.  The first one available is “Cocked & Loaded”. The illustration is by Eric’s tattoo buddy Jackhammer Josh. John Doe’s Rich Johnson had his foot broken by the promoter of the Concrete Challenge back in mid September. It’s a sad state of affairs when someone can’t take a little bad publicity. Then takes it upon themselves to throw 50 pound rocks.

Julian Dykmans has started a new board company called Antiz. It’s a French word meaning “the Haunted”. Hugo Laird and Sem Rubio are riding for it along with Julian. Boards are in production as you read this. Look for this stuff initially in Europe. Boards and tees out in November 01.

Congratulations to Emerica am Dennis Busenitz! You’ve seen his effortless style and speed lines in the latest Real Skateboards video. Well thanks to that speed and style, he just won the L.A. Am Open contest in late September, beating out many of the best ams around. Dave Swift from TWS was there to catch the photos from the trip.

As you’ve probably heard, Richie Belton left Ricta for Pig Wheels. Don “the Nuge” has also joined the ranks of the Pig team.

Foundation picked up a new AM, handrail master Tony Silva. Not Da Silva, just straight up Silva. He’s new and kicking arse! Watch for him in and the rest of the F Glam boys in Foundations Tragic Hysteria tour on 411.

Tum Yeto is very excited to announce that they are manufacturing and distributing Hollywood Skateboards. Hollywood is the brainchild of mastermind Kris Markovich. Kris will continue to ride pro for Foundation as he directs the new brand and is in charge of its creative direction. Kris has been able to mix the addiction of Hollywood with the rawness of his skating. So you know the line looks tough and the team is amazing! The team consists of Dorian Tucker, Kevin Staab, Don “the Nuge” Nguyen and Richie Belton. Look for Hollywood’s debut in the new fall catalog.

Jamie Thomas has been busy with a Zero U.S. tour that was off the hook. If you didn’t get a chance to see the Zero U.S. tour you should slit your wrist, or wait until next year. He also just finished up a week long stay at a skate camp in Canada called Young Life. If you haven’t heard of it maybe you should do some research for next years visit. The word is, it’s funner than all do get out. He was on a Canada tour with Circa homies and fellow Zero riders including new Zero ripper John Rattray. On top of all of this his main focus has been the new Zero video Dying To Live which is due out whenever it’s finished. Also be on the look out for a Jamie Thomasinterview in an upcoming Slap Magazine issue.

Matt Mumford has been working hard filming for both Dying To Live and a new Globe video. His new shoe is out now and ready for the shredding of any type of terrain. He just returned from a film trip to the Philly area where he ruined a lot of public property and returned home safely.

Trainwreck made the move from Hollywood back to Carlsbad, CA and has a new apartment with Mike “Sante Fe” McClandish. Come to think of it, he never really completed the move to Hollywood due to landlord trouble.

Adrian Lopez has also been a busy man this summer. Both Zero and Circa have been flying him all over for demos and autograph signings. His main focus now is Dying To Live

He’s currently on the Circa Canada trip with Jamie and expects to be living in Southern California; hopefully, by the time you read this. He recently made the switch from Krux to Thunder.

Danny Way recently developed the ultimate training facility for himself and fellow DC team rider, Colin McKay. Danny and Colin knew that having a practice ramp close to home would not only contribute to their time skateboarding, but also would give them the privacy to perfect tricks that would normally consume entire sessions at public skateparks. The ramp is 96 affairs when someone can’t take a little bad publicity. Then takes it upon themselves to throw 50 pound rocks.

Complete with a foam pit, multiple extensions, and a hip, the ramp is located within three miles of DC’s headquarters at an undisclosed warehouse in Vista, California. Future additions to the ramp facility will include a jacuzzi and Colin’s custom BBQ area.

Many have been wondering where pro skateboarder Scott Bourne may turn up. Well, Scott has put aside all other offers to join forces with Euro Pros: Cates, Dainton and Pritchard on the London based Death Skateboards. Look for Scott’s first board “Living just to die” by the time you read this. Intense? Systems has been manufacturing Death Skateboards for some time now and as of September of this year taken over worldwide distribution. As usual, all Death boards feature SDP construction. Soon on the way from these guys is the much sought after Pritchard vs. Dainton video. This is the video that got them the job doing the European version of MTV’s Jackass. You’ll have to see it to believe. Parental guidance is strongly suggested.

Supernaut has released a new series titled “Birds“. All graphics were done by Supernaut Pro Matt Pailes. These new boards have the amazing “hand painted” look thanks to our new transfer process of screen-printing. These boards are available now so check’em out at your local skate shop.

Brian Patch and Cab came back from Bangkok instead of traveling on to, the highly Muslim, Indonesia. They made the right choice. It was reported on CNN’s website that Muslim terrorist were visiting hotels, demanding guest lists, looking for Americans. Car bombs reported as well.

Kyle Berard broke his femur in a car accident. Transworld wishes him a swift recovery.

Erik Ellington has replaced Ed, to join Heath up in Toronto, and pro Skater/photographer Jaya Bonderov has stepped in to fill Dave Swift’s shoes. The weather turned sour upon their arrival but the forecast looks good through the next few days until everyone goes home on the 1st.

Andrew Reynolds is undergoing dental surgery this week to fix his teeth after he accidentally kissed a bus stop bench in Encinitas two weeks ago.

Chris Senn finally got settled into his new house and has been enjoying the new Grass Valley park, which he helped design. He’s been hard at work getting a new batch of Adrenalin graphics done. The boards will be in shops by November.

Ryan Wilburn is in Knoxville right now, packing the truck up for a move to Portland, Oregon for the winter, where he’ll be able to skate in the rain at Burnside.

New Emerica am team rider Spanky logged a hefty backside lipslide down 11 for his premiere Emerica ad. Watch for it soon, alongside bangers from Matt Allen and Brian Herman.

The Duffs team has been quite busy trying to finish the Duffs Promo video # 1. The whole team is going to be featured in it. Check your local shop around the beginning of October for that video.

Brian Howard is finally home from the East Coast, where he spent all summer on tour, at various contests and at Woodward Skate Camp. He just got back from a short trip to Fresno, CA to skate the Vagabond motel pool and the Peach street pool.
