Avalon Skatepark
436 Avalon Canyon Rd., Avalon, CA 90704
The city of Avalon has a park open from dawn until dusk, and during the school year it’s open from 3:00 p.m. until dusk. Pads are required.

California Muscle
7031 Watt Ave., N. Highlands, CA 95660
This park is open daily from 5:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and costs two dollars to skate. Don’t forget to bring all your pads. For more information, call: (916) 334-9467.

Diamond Bar Skatepark
Diamond Bar, CA
This premier 10,000-square-foot park consists of rails, ledges, a big vert halfpipe, an eight stair, a three stair, a canyon with rails, and much more. The box was redone to remove steep sides for better flow. The park is regularly visited by local sheriffs, so wear all your pads. It’s free to the public, and there’s a snack shack and vending machines as well as drinking fountains nearby.

Laguna Hills Skatepark
Alicia Pkwy. and Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Hills, CA
This cement park features a bowl, some hips, a pyramid, banks, ledges, rails, and a volcano. The park is free, open from dawn until dusk, and all pads are required. For more information, call: (949) 707-2680.

Macdougald Skatepark
Sonoma, CA
It consits of two quarterpipes, two huge bowls, tons of rails and ledges to grind, a five stair with a handrail, and a huge funbox. It’s all concrete, free, and pads are required. The cops will enforce the law if you don’t have your pads.

Menlo Skatepark

Moorpark Skatepark
4550 Tierra Regada Rd., Moorpark CA 93021
This facility features a street course consisting of a flat wedge, a funbox, a grind rail, a street spine, and quarterpipes on a 20,000-square-foot surface. The park is free, but a waiver and pads are required. Hours of operation are Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. For more information, call: (805) 531-9100.

Oakbridge Private Skatepark

This campground features a small street course with a four-foot mini ramp. The street obstacles include a grind box, a rail, a funbox, and a couple quarterpipes. Helmets and pads are required, and admission is free for campers. For more information, call: (760) 789-6980.

Orange Street Skatepark

Spark Youth Ministries Skatepark

Spark Youth Ministries operates a skatepark on Fridays from 6:00 p.m until 10:00 p.m. Helmets are required. For more information, call (925) 376-6858.

Stockton Skatepark
Anderson Park on El Dorado St. and Benjamin Holt Dr.
This 12,000-square-foot cement park consists of bowls, hips, ledges, a wave, stairs, an EMB look-alike obstacle, and more. Full pads with helmet are required, and the park is free to everybody from dawn until dusk.

Florida

Defuniak Springs Skatepark
71 U.S. Highway West, Defuniak Springs, FL 32433
This facility features a six-foot halfpipe and a street course with quarterpipes, a flat bank, a grind rail, and a funbox. Admission to the park is free, and the hours of operation are from dawn until dusk. For more information, call: (850) 892-8500.

Dunedin Skatepark

This 10,000-square-foot facility features a lit park with free admission. The park features a halfpipe and a street course with roll-ins, grind rails, a street spine, funboxes, quarterpipes, a pyramid, and a beginner section. Gulfport Skatepark

The city of Gulfport operates a free skatepark from dawn until dusk. The facility features a four-foot mini ramp and a modest street course with a rail, a spine, a flat bank, a funbox with a ledge, and quarterpipes. Helmets and pads must be worn. For more information, call: (727) 893-1068.

Georgia

Convington Y.M.C.A. Members Skatepark

Covington, Georgia has a single obstacle street course with a funbox. A Y.M.C.A. membership is required to skate, and all pads are required. The employees report a low interest in this park, so everyone living in Georgia should ask that a more extensive park be built. For more information, call: (770) 787-3908.

Idaho

Lucky 88 Skatepark
107 N. Phillipi, Boise, ID 83706
This indoor park features a twelve-and-a-half foot vert ramp, a six-foot mini ramp, and a street course with vert quarterpipes, a funbox, ledges, and rails. Iowa

Ottumwa Skatepark
Ottumwa, IA
Located by the Market Street bridge on the north side, this free park features miniramps, a spine ramp, and a street course with boxes, rails, banks, and quarterpipes. The facility is open 24 hours a day, and pads are not required–just recommended.

Maryland

Gaithersburg Skatepark
Gaithersburg, MD
This park features a street course consisting of grind boxes, grind rails, and halfpipes. There are two sessions, and pads are required.

Massachusetts

Drum Hill Chelmsford Skatepark
Westford St., Chelmsford, MA 01863
Located behind McCarthy Middle School, this park boasts a free facility with a vert ramp, a mini ramp, and a street course. Pads are required. Hours of operation are 3:00 p.m. until dusk on school days and 9:00 a.m. until dusk on nonschool days. For more information, call: (978) 250-5262.

Harwich Skatepark
Harwich, MA
The park consists of a vert ramp, a mini ramp, a bunch of quarterpipes, a few funboxes and flyboxes, low boxes, and a lanch ramp. It’s free, and only a helmet is required.

Reservation Skatepark
Reservation Rd., Boston, MA
This 20,000-square-foot facility located in Hyde Park features a bowl, a mini ramp, a vert ramp, and a street course. The park is free, and it’s open from 8:00 a.m. unitl dark. For more information, call: (617) 635-4505.

Westford Skatepark
East Prescott St., Westford, MA 01886
This park, which is open April 15 through October 15, includes a vert ramp, a mini ramp, and a street course. An admission fee and pads are required. For directions and hours of operation, call: (978) 692-5532.

Minnesota

Brooklyn Park Community Skatepark
Brooklyn Park Community Center, Brooklyn Park, MN
This outdoor facility is built on asphalt with wooden ramps, and features a three-foot spine, a kinked rail, a pyramid/flybox with grind boxes going across and down, a three-foot piano quarterpipe, and a three-foot bank with a quarterpipe embedded in the middle. The park is free, and no pads are required. Directions: take Highway 252 or Highway 169 to 85th Avenue, proceed down 85th until you see the Brooklyn Park Community Center, turn into the parking lot, and you should see the park.

Wabasha Skatepark
Wabasha, MN
Located at the athletic fields in Wabasha is a small street course with a rail, a grind box, and a funbox. The park is free and open from dawn until dusk. Helmets and pads must be worn. For additional information, call: (651) 565-4568.

Missouri
Jefferson City Skatepark
Jefferson City, MO
This skatepark is an awkward but fun facility with a good ledge and a few other things to skate. Bonus features include free admission, no pads required, and it’s lit until 11:00 p.m. When coming from Columbia to Jefferson City get off at the Jefferson City exit and then take that for about two to three miles until you get to Missouri Boulevard. It’s right next to the ice rink on Missouri Boulevard.

Mexico Skatepark
Mexico, MO
This facility features a 30-foot-wide mini ramp–it’s five and half feet high with a six-foot extension, fat coping, and plied with metal–and a small concrete street course. The park is free, outdoors, and unsupervised.

Osage Beach Skatepark
Osage Beach, MO
Located at the Lake of the Ozarks, they have six- and four-foot quarterpipes, a four-foot halfpipe, a flybox with a two-foot extention on the side for grinding, a small funbox, and a two-foot-high manual pad with ramps on each side. Right now bikes, boards, scooters, and blades are allowed.

Pleasant Valley Skatepark
Kansas City’s first skatepark is free, cement, and no pads are required. The park consists of ledges, stairs, and rails integrated into a giant bowl with hips and a spine. Directions: I-70 to 35 North, exit 10 North Brighton. Make a right on Pleasant Valley Rd., and the park is on your right.

New Hampshire

Loon Mountain Skatepark
Lincoln, NH 03251
Located in the Loon Mountain ski area off of Kancamagus Highway, this park, which is open July 4 through Labor Day, features a vert ramp, a mini ramp, and a street course. There is an admission fee, and pads are required. For more information, call: (603) 745-6281 ext. 5561.

Portsmouth Skatepark
Portsmouth, NH 03801
Located behind the rec. center at the intersection of Green Leaf Avenue and Holiday Drive is a skatepark containing a vert ramp, a mini ramp, and a street course. The park is cement and free.

New Jersey

Somerset Hill Y.M.C.A. Skatepark

Shebang Skatepark

Eire, Pennsylvania has a 19,000-square-foot indoor skatepark. The cost is ten dollars a day, and helmets are required. South CarolinaWabasha Skatepark

Hilton Head Skatepark
Hilton Head Island, SC
Opened by Fuel Clothing in October, just in time to host an inaugural contest, the park features a 40-foot-wide, six-foot-high mini ramp with extensions and a street course with a 24-foot-wide, six-foot-high bank; a box with handrail, ledge, and various transitions; various quarterpipes from 3.5 to six feet high; and a kids’ section with ramps from 2.5 to four feet high. The skatepark is located at the Bristol Sports Arena on Hilton Head Island. Helmets are required, and additional safety gear is recommended. For more information, call: (843) 341-3202.

Dry Run Creek Skatepark

Bennington Skatepark

The city of Bennington is currently working on a skatepark with an eight-foot halfpipe and a street course consisting of a quarterpipe, a funbox, a street spine, a grind rail, a flat bank, and a rail box. Burlington Skatepark
Burlington, VT
This fine facility features a street course with a U-bowl, a pyramid with a ledge, a funbox with a rail, a quarterpipe with a roll-in, and a bank with a curb. The park is free, and pads are not enforced.

Virginia

Charlottesville Skatepark
Charlottesville, VA
This free park is open from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Sundays. All pads excluding wrist guards are required, and if you need some pads, they have loaners there. All the ramps are made of skatelite and plywood on asphalt. The facility features a mini ramp with a camel hump and a spine, and two street courses: beginner and intermediate.

Washington

The Burton Street Couurse

Yakima Skatepark

This free, concrete, outdoor park features a halfpipe, a bowl, rails, stairs, hips, and more.

Yakima Indoor Skatepark
Yakima, WA
Located in Glenwood Square, this park features a mini ramp, quarterpipes, a funbox, wedges, rails, and grind boxes. The fee is three dollars for two hours, and a helmet is required.

Wyoming

Douglas Skatepark

Dalhousie Skatepark

Four ’0′ Three
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
This is an indoor park with wood ramps. There are two mini ramps, a funbox, a rail, a halfpipe, and a launch ramp. There is an admission fee, and helmets are required. It’s located in East Calgary on Glenmore Trail and 71st Avenue.

Millennium Park
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Millennium is an outdoor, concrete public park. Admission is free, and pads are not required. The park consists of a street course, a clover bowl, a halfpipe, and a full pipe. The street portion includes many ledges, rails, and a few sets of stairs. Next spring a snake run, a bridge overlooking the park, and a wading pool will be added. Located in downtown Calgary next to Science Center, it’s the largest outdoor skate park in the world (at the moment). For more information, check out: millenniumskatepark.com.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada
This is an indoor park with wood ramps. There are two mini ramps, a funbox, a rail, a halfpipe, and a launch ramp. There is an admission fee, and helmets are required. It’s located in East Calgary on Glenmore Trail and 71st Avenue.

Millennium Park
Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Millennium is an outdoor, concrete public park. Admission is free, and pads are not required. The park consists of a street course, a clover bowl, a halfpipe, and a full pipe. The street portion includes many ledges, rails, and a few sets of stairs. Next spring a snake run, a bridge overlooking the park, and a wading pool will be added. This is an indoor park with wood ramps. There are two mini ramps, a funbox, a rail, a halfpipe, and a launch ramp. There is an admission fee, and helmets are required. It’s located in East Calgary on Glenmore Trail and 71st Avenue.

Millennium Park

Millennium is an outdoor, concrete public park. Admission is free, and pads are not required. The park consists of a street course, a clover bowl, a halfpipe, and a full pipe. The street portion includes many ledges, rails, and a few sets of stairs. Next spring a snake run, a bridge overlooking the park, and a wading pool will be added.
