Paul Rodriguez just got a hold of his new pro deckon GIRL. He’s been seen at Skate Lab recently. And he has a new terrifyingroommate from Boston, JeremeRogers.

Paul and Jereme have been frequentingtheir backyard lately, where they set up a mini-skatepark consisting of twoeight-foot flat bars and two seven-foot boxes. In fact, Paul even gets up asearly as 9:00 AM to skate it.

Arto Saari is returning to the States in time forThanksgiving to carve up a big, fat soy turkey and give thanks for the amazingyear he’s had. His return to the US will be short-lived,, though, as he isplanning on following summer down to Australia early in 2003, reportedly with Ali Boulala. They’ll bevisiting Dustin Dollin,so you know the hammers will get swung left and right.

Mike Taylor is officially riding for Seek Skateboards. After resigning from City Starsrecently, he accepted an offer from Seek’s Rob Dyrdek. Mike now has twovideos he needs to film for-the upcoming ÈS video and the new Seekvideo that’s in the works as we speak.

The Krew is a new clothing company headed by TSA mainman, Angel. It’s totally separate from TSA and should be dropping goods by Feb2003. The KREW consists of AndrewReynolds, Alex Gall, Ali Boulala, Anthony Mosley, Evan Hernandez, ErikEllington, Tom Penny, and 14y/o Greg Myers.

Ali Boulala rides for Osiris shoes. They also add am JamesBrockman andsubtract Toan Nyguen.

New Deal has been dismantled for the second time in 8years. Fabrizio bailed to Shorty’s, but no word on where Oyola,Barite, RJ, and Lincoln are headed.

Team manager Dave Smith and film maker extroidanaire, Rickiìthe dudeà® Bedenbaughwere also released from Giant’s payroll. The Dude quickly got full time work at411VM finishing up with the Europe 2002 video. He wants to do another companyvideo, so if you know of anyone looking for a filmer/editor to do a video, letme know.

Colin Kennedy flew into Portland the other day for hisfirst visit to Savier. They tookhim and John Rattrayout for dinner at an ìauthenticà® Scottish pub. They just skated offto Burnside a few minutes ago.

Tyler Hansen is the newest am on the Powell team.

Jason Ellis is no longer riding for Powell, but willremain a part of the Bones Bearingsteam. Seems like Dogtownis in Jason’s future.

Cairo Foster changed the name of his newcompany from Populis to Popwar. At themoment, he’s out in AZ with a few of the Popwar team members, working onaccumulating footage for a little portion of the ONtage for the next ONVideo. Things should begood for viewing.

Project Hardware is the continuation of UniversalHardware. Look for all new packaging in early 2003. The line up is TOUGH ñ ColtCannon, Mikey Taylor, Kenny Anderson, Diego Bucchieri, and Danny Montoya are justsome of the heads on the roster. Mike Burnett and EwanBowman are on the team too.

Emerica’s rising star Kevinìspankyà® Longhas left City Stars and is straining on a tough decision. Who does he want to ridefor? Will it be Toy Machine or Baker? Only Kevin candecide. TheSatori team just returned from the first ever Jamaican tour. The SatoriWarriors and friends built three mini ramps that were left for the Jamaicanlocals. Now there are mini ramps east and west of Kingston and kids will beskating them everyday. Satori will return in a year to chart the progress ofskateboarding in Jamaica.

Dave Bergthold has relaunched BlockheadSkateboards and the wood is manufactured by former teamrider, Jim Gray. Most youngsters don’t knowit, but many of today’s top pros got their start on Blockhead. Slap magazine also wants him to go on the Asia trip that theyare planning for Novembe5r.
