Lake Forest, CA. – On Saturday,
December 13 2003, one of the largest public skateparks in the nation, the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest, will open.
A landmark public / private partnership embarked on by etnies and the City Of Lake Forest nearly four years ago, the Grand Opening of the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is finally here! Mark your calendars, because on December 13, professional skateboarders from all over the world will converge in Lake Forest, California to break-in one of the very best public skateparks anywhere and celebrate this incredible groundbreaking achievement between the City Of Lake Forest and etnies.
Transworld is proud to present a best trick contest with a grand prize of $1000 cash. The contest will be emcee’d by Beau Brown and Mark Waters and is open too all Pros and Ams.
Open to all professional skaters, the Grand Opening Ceremony will feature an epic pro demo that promises to go down in the history books as one of the best ever! The event will also feature demos and autograph signings by etnies pro riders, as well as by a “friends of” pro roster featuring the teams of fellow skateboarding footwear brands, éS and Emerica.
In addition, an adjacent section of Lake Forest Drive will be shut down during the event for a huge celebration with vendors and exhibitors for the park’s long-awaited Grand Opening. The street closure will also serve as a great viewing point of a performance by a very special surprise musical guest.
The festivities get underway at 11:00 a.m. and continue throughout the day until 4:00 p.m. Be sure to be there when the city of Lake Forest and etnies make history and unveil one of the biggest and best public skateparks in the world.

Located at the corner of Lake Forest Drive and the 241 Toll Road, the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is easily accesible from all directions and is only minutes away from I-5.
From the 241 north bound, exit Portola and travel north. Turn left on to Lake Forest Drive and travel under the 241.The park is on your immediate left after the freeway.
From the 241 south bound, exit Lake Forest Drive and turn left.The park is on your immediate left.
From I-5, exit Lake Forest and travel east for approximately 4 miles. The park is on your right hand side just before the 241.
