The Jon Moak Memorial Skate Contest

Recently Margaret Herron threw a skateboard contest in Memory of her son Jon Moak. Jon passed away after a fluke accident while he was skating a park in Arizona. Jon hit is head and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He was not wearing a helmet. With Jon’s accident Margaret has joined forces with The Ian Tilman Foundation, as both Ian and Jon were victims to similar head injuries while not wearing a helmet. Since 2006 The Ian Tilman Foundation has passed out over 1,300 free helmets to kids who promise to wear them. This foundation’s members are flying out here from Florida for Jon’s Memorial to help spread the word of helmet awareness.
