Supra held their Los Angeles release party for Chad Muska’s Skytop III last night in a private backroom at the Trousdale on Sunset Boulevard, and it was pretty damn wild–we walked through a super swanky LA venue, continued past the kitchen, and were led right into a secret room where homeys and good times were at a record high. Everyone from Stevie Williams and Braydon Szafranski to Erik Ellington and Terry Kennedy showed up. Apparently McLovin’ from Superbad even made his rounds (although he left before I could snap a quick photo).
In other celebrity news, DJ Samantha Ronson was supposed to spin, but either I missed it, or it never happened. But quite frankly, who the hell cares when you’ve got Muska himself on the tracks? (Especially when mid DJ set, he busts out a can of spraypaint and tags all over the wall. Pretty insane, right?)
Look for Skytop IIIs on Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, and your local skater’s feet in the near future. Judging by the looks of it, this rendition–which is the third incarnation of Muska’s iconic Skytop shoe–is gonna be even bigger than the last two. Featuring a silhouette that’s a little lower in height than the previous two and a bit toned down, it definitely seems like the most skateable Skytop yet.
Thanks for the good times, Supra!
