2012 Street League Kansas City Qualifiers Photo Gallery

The first night of the inaugural stop of Street League 2012 just ended, and goddamn, it went off in Kansas City. As expected, Nyjah came out on top in tonight’s qualifiers with mind-blowing consistency on everything he skated, while Malto came in a close second. But one of the real treats of the night was watching rookie Street Leaguer, Austyn Gillette, speed around the course like a lunatic and blast one of the best alley-oop backside flips known to man over the big rail, landing himself in eighth place. Tune in tomorrow for more Street League Kansas City action from today’s top 12 qualifiers who will be passing on to the semifinal.

But for now, check the photos and full results from Day One below. (And if you’re wondering why Torey’s so low on the list, it’s ’cause he took a full-on rack to body check on the waist tall flatbar, breaking his hand in the process. Get better soon!)  Video footage from the first day here.
