theres a bum that hangs out at my backdoor, the other day i made him take the trash out for me. i thought about giving him some money for it but i figured that since he doesnt have a home, that maybe by taking out the trash it was a way to relive a moment when times were better. (like when he had a house to take the trash out from). when he brought the can back to me he looked as though there was something more i needed to give him. i just said “thanks” and slammed the door.
