Mr. Ellington is probably the most cordial man in skateboarding, if not in any industry. He’s a man of his trade, but I guess that’s pretty evident in his skating, isn’t it? The Vega, in my opinion, is a complete reflection of that. The shoe is ingenious; completely practical, super slender, and totally attractive, not much unlike the shoe’s proprietor. I think it’s one of those few great skate shoes that people remember skating ten, fifteen years after they’re first released; the ultimate “remember-when?” shoe. And if we’re lucky, The Vega will still be in production by then.
I don’t think anyone but Supra and Ellington could have made it better.

i met him at a demo in bakersfield, really nice guy though
although i wish he was still on Baker, that whole team was sick, but then again, DEATHWISH is now my favorite team.
