The sooner Mr Maloof buys the Sydney Rooster Rugby League Team the sooner I can to see Bob Burnquist take on Navarette in Sydney with ramps similar to these.

i think it's stupid how they put all this money and work to built such a kool skate course and after the contest they just destroy it, they should just built the course in an area that needs a skatepark then after the contest passes leave it there so people could skate it forever!!

The most sense I ever heard!

WHAT they destroy it afterwards? and last years course is destroyed too? what a waste of resources and opportunity to actually DO something for the sport, in terms of leaving the park there for the local kids. take responsibility guys
July 10th, 2009 at 11:23 am
yeah, do something for the troubled youth and leave the park somewhere purposeful, that would be two birds with one stone. but his way, it really is only about the money.

i completely agree, i live in Rhode Island and we have one skatepark and it has three ramps and rail thats a foot long. They should donate the parks to towns, or even states that dont have parks.

i think if they want to destroy it , let it be destroyed the nxt yr the contest is …. that makes more sense , so everyone gets to sk8 it this year until the next contest comes around

anyone know what kinda pants rowley was wearing? like i know volcom but which model?
July 10th, 2009 at 8:39 pm
There are about 15 local parks within 20 miles of this spot.
We're not hurting for parks.

i know theres some skateparks around there and here but look at that park… that is like one of the most sick skatepark possibly ever built. we need those kind of street skateparks, not some stupid woody ramps, ghettoo handrails… boxs made of metal or wood? gay shit. so i think they should keep that park there, build a new one for other contests every year?

this contest is so cool but if they r going 2 put all this time and money into a sk8park and then they just destroy it they should go state 2 state were there is no skate parks or sk8 spots and build it so kids all over that want 2 sk8 can sk8 in maloof brother u rock…. hard but we know u got money so just leave the park up for skaters that would be so radddd!!!!!!!
July 11th, 2009 at 3:26 am
so over exposed
July 11th, 2009 at 4:40 am
They wouldnt leave that park there because you have all the dumb kids that would try and hawk them selves over the mega and end up dieing
or get some scrap metal from the junkyard and ghetto rig
if yall want a park so bad then get some plywood, skatelite or masonite if your cheap and build you a mini a mini only costs 300 for both ramps and just build off of that
July 11th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
dude i live in rhode island we have some ok parks, not great, but look around the state's bigger than you think it is

if you look at p rod or ryan sheckler when theyre asked about the maloof contest, theyre like oh yea its great and helps skating a lot, but you know they just want the money. if you see interviews with real skaters in the contest you can tell they just want to skate but theyre not really feelin the contest.
