On Wednesday April 27, Patrick O’Dell put together a West Coast version of his Evening of Skate Videos he did in New York last year. This one, in conjunction with the Art In The Streets exhibit that is happening right now at MOCA, consisted of three montages of skate videos and a panel of Ty Evans, Rick Howard, Aaron Meza, Tobin Yelland, Greg Hunt, Stacy Peralta, Lance Mountain, Spike Jonze, and Ed Templeton. The montages were a mix of basically the best skate videos of all time, broken up by decade. After a bunch of interesting insight from the panel, the audience got involved with some Q&A. Some awesome stories came out and the night was over much too quick. A skate nerd like myself could’ve sat and listened to this stuff for hours. Hopefully this wasn’t the last Evening Of Skate Videos.
