We’ve been huge fans of Pappalardo since his earliest days on Alien Workshop, and it’s awesome to see how he’s evolved and the art he’s chosen to create. Those benches are absolutely gorgeous.
Take a look inside designer/pro skateboarder Anthony Pappalardo’s first installment of furtniture and artwork at The Future Perfect in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC. “Virgin White” is his first solo exhibition, it explores the labor intensive process he uses to produce the final pieces of furniture. This collection of handmade benches, created from smallblocks of a variety of common and exotic woods, focus on the graphic and textural qualities of end grain. Filmed 10/9/09

i've seen a couple of them benches here in São Paulo when the Converse crew came down to a demo here in Brazil.. there were some polaroids by Raymond Molinar too
and these expositions are kinda nice.. we had heinekens and red bulls free of charge all night long!! fuck yeah

Skateboarding itself is considered to be an art form. if you dont like it dont disgrace the recreation and continue skating..if you dont think those chairs are artistic than you dont have an eye for it.
