Stevie Williams, Marcus McBride, Lenny Rivas and Jack Curtin hit up 5050 on their first day for a shop signing. In the evening they were guests at the store’s 10 year strong time line exhibition and anniversary pack launch at the centre space gallery in the heart of the city.
5050 opened its doors in 1997 and has been supporting one of the countries most thriving scenes ever since. The shop has a sick team of local talent, including co-owner Danny Wainwright, highlighted by the magazine content displayed over the walls of the exhibition.
The following day was a chance for the DGK team to show off their skills at the infamous Lloyds steps. The demo was pretty casual with locals skating alongside the pros. Stand out tricks were Jack’s fakie 5.0 and Lenny’s half cab nose grind revert off the top step/block. Plenty of dope DGK product was thrown out before the team headed off for dates in Manchester and Leeds.
