Jake Brown Wins Gold In X Games Big Air

Finally the guy that everyone wanted to win, wins! Jake edged out Bob Burnquist with a backside 360 across the 70-foot gap to a 21-foot high 540 to win gold. He even tried 900s on the quarter pipe in his last two runs! Not to discredit Bob as he flew across the gap with a switch backside 180, no grab, into a huge indy backside 360 landing fakie. That was nuts. Bronze medalist was 21-year old San Diego head Rob Lorifice—his first X Games medal. Well, the X Games weekend is officially off to a rad start. Stay tuned as we report up to the minute from DC’s Gold Standard hotel all weekend. For now, enjoy these mega photos.
