Another full day of shredding that ended with some rain. Derek Elmendorf ended up qualifying first, and he had the first run of the first heat so a lot of people didn’t see his run. Andrew Cannon put down a flawless run full of his big-man steeze that delighted the crowd. Andrew Langi was the crowd pleaser as always with stylish kickflips over the pyramid, a mind-boggling Smith stall to blunt to fakie on the wallride wall, and a back Smith across the quarter pipe over the buttcrack hip—he qualified second. Tom Remillard took a 50 spot off Shaefer for back tailing the quarter over the butt. And Lacey Baker makes history being the first girl to make it to Sunday at a Tampa Am.
