This thing looks like fun for 10 minutes. Space the wave out and it would be a 1000 x better.

its a replica of a real spot that has been skate blocked
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:35 pm
I love it! keep up the abstract contests!
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:51 pm
the ways should have been much bigger, it looked like that sucked
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:09 pm
the incline for each wave was way to steep, noone could grind or manual it it just wasnt that creative or fun to watch.

The real red wave is tough to shred.

retards. it's a replica of an og minneapolis spot

are you kidding? These type of competitions are fun because its not the conventional perfect to skate type of spot. The vibes looked way good and everyone was having a good time. There is a serious lack of sessions like that these days. Props to familia and all involved

If you knew the real feature, you'd see why this is fun.
September 4th, 2009 at 9:10 am
preck is right. the wave was crap! imagine the fun and the session with a more skateable wave…
September 4th, 2009 at 2:56 pm
what an odd comp
September 4th, 2009 at 4:34 pm
I really love the abstract contest setups and creative set-ups but this was really not well done.
The wave-lenght should have been twice the lenght and shouldn't gain hight through the waves.
Ten it would have been a really nice contest.

that demo was poor

abstract contests are the best, but you can tell that they screwed up the proportions of this thing when they made it. I think they were trying to go for something like that famous wave in Shenzhen China or the one in France. This thing was too tight.. I bet they themselves were bummed on how it turned out. Probably super fun to skate that with your friends and dork around, but lame to watch
September 5th, 2009 at 2:26 am
they were recreating a spot in minneapolis so making it "more skateable" would be cheating
mn rep like a dumbass
September 5th, 2009 at 2:27 am

September 5th, 2009 at 4:02 am

the contest was just for fun don't freak out about it

My ankles hurt just watching that footage. Great idea for a comp though.
September 9th, 2009 at 2:52 pm
was that salabanzi?
September 10th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
Spread it out!! This wave idea is cool.. But this is tooo tight and doesn't look like much fun. If you can't grind it or manual it, what's the point? Seems like the only incentive to skate this, is getting paid per trick.

its a replica of the red wave spot in mn which is a real street spot that got skate stopped and now i think its gone all together. the thing is hard to skate. yes it would be funner if it was more spaced out but thats how the real spot is
