Shawn is one Hale of a skateboarder. The first time I saw Shawn skate my eyes went crossed, my tail went between my legs, and I started to shake knowing that I was on the same team as this dude. But after I started talking to him I realized he is just a totally normal married 22 year old dude. Wait, since when is that normal for a skateboarder? It’s not, and that’s one of my favorite things about Shawn. Although he lives for skateboarding, he doesn’t live handrail to handrail. He sees the bigger picture. The video is good, does not give Mr. Hale any justice though. To see him skate in real life, you'd see. He's a great solid dude and for anyone, like the above, to "hate" shows the jealousy in these little kids hearts.

One of the best sections that I've seen in a while. Funny reading all these comments from kids going on about how they know people who are just as good etc. Well, maybe they do, but I kind of doubt it. I've been skating for a long time and people as talented as this guy don't come around that often. It's as simple as that.

shawn is ill, and god has allowed him to be where hes gotten today.
hes the opposite of a loser, hes making things happen and still giving it up to god, and thats the sickest thing. the more you try to put him down, the weaker it makes you look, because it shows that hes that big of a deal you have to go out of your way to try to bring him down to your level : )

SHAWN HALE is annointed to ride a skateboard. He's doing what he's meant to do. He spent his childhood days training like a madman, keepin away from the party scene. He's made some wise descisions and taken some risks. Now, he's reaping the benefits of a life full of good choices. On top of that, he's man enough to represent the Lord Jesus Christ. All I got for this dude is love and an abundance of props.

Hey I'm on Shawn's former team, Untitled.
Since you don't understand the whole Jesus thing, i can help explain it. I'll try to do so in as few religious words as possible. If you care to really understand, check it out and see what Josiah, Shawn and the Untitled, Reliance, Siren, Endurance teams, Christian Hosoi, TimTim, Josh Harmony, jamie Thomas, Ray Barbee, Lance Mountain, Brian Sumner, Josh Kasper, and many others have seen. We've seen the glorious light of Grace given to us, the undeserving.
Here's the deal:
We're all scumbags, period. Even though people want to convince themselves that they are "good natured, or kindhearted, etc…) the truth is we're selfserving, prideful and even our greatest accomplishments on skateboards cannot hide our dirt. God designed us all with a conscience that convinces our hearts that there is such thing as right and wrong. It's our moral compass. If there is such thing as a moral law, that means there was a moral law giver- God. We have broken his law with our immoral choices and every law has concequences if it is broken. In humanity's case, we cannot exist in the presence of the Perfect Creator and Ruler because of his perfection that would obliterate us, so we need someone to pay the penalty for us - We did the crime, and either we take the punishment ourselves, or we let God give us a way out. Jesus is God paying bail to get us out of our deserved punishment. Jesus never broke God's law, and he offered his life as a trade for ours. Then he historically ressurected from the dead. (don't believe me, just watch the film THE CASE FOR CHRIST, made by an athiest) Raising from the dead proves that Jesus really is God's son. If we follow Jesus, we have God's promise to never give us what we deserve for our crimes. He can legally dismiss our case because someone else received justice on our behalf. Following and obeying Jesus allows us access to God, and all the promises he's made to his adopted children…aka Christians. (not the hypocrits you've seen, but those who really obey the bible and live what it teaches.)
