On Saturday night we had a “Vista” photo show over at V-Town’s finest skate shop, The House of Vista in celebration of the Vista skatepark Grand Opening. The day started at the park where best trick contests went down, product was thrown out and the ribbon to the new park was officially cut. It’s been nine years since Vista has had a skatepark but it was worth the wait. If you haven’t seen the park yet, I suggest checking it out. It literally has everything! After the eventful day at the park, crowds of people made their way to The House to look at a history of Vista photos throughout the years through the lenses of a handful of talented photographers. Jimbucha samples were being handed out, the new issue of TWS was getting flipped through and plenty of eyeballs were glued to the dedicated “Vista” wall. “That spot is right down the street,” or “So-and-so did this on that spot,” were common themes heard amongst the crowd. A huge thanks to The House of Vista for letting us do this on the wall of their shop! It was a good time. Check a few photos from the night right here. —Brian Blakely
