So the final stop on the 2008 Wild Ride was a full day in Sayreville, New Jersey, home to the infamouse NJ Skateshop owned by Chris Nieratko. The shop was transformed into a green and gold Emerica shop for the day, and special thanks must be given to Spitfire and Thunder for donating product for the hundreds of kiddies that stood in line for hours to meet their heros. The crew then motored over to the fun Sayreville park for a demo. Peep the photos attached to the left.
After the requisite product toss, the skaters and Wild Ride crew all took a posse photo in front of the RV and then followed Nieratko to his house for a catered BBQ/afterparty. And damn does Nieratko know how to host a party. Besides a keg of brew and a fully catered BBQ spread, Chris has the illest man room I’ve ever seen. Pool table, bar, mini fridges, and a freakin’ skee ball game. We couldn’t believe it! So much fun. Then the bathroom had a flat screen TV, speakers, and a bidet toilet! You were one lucky sum’bitch if you had to take a crap that night! Collin Provost had been to Chris’ before and said that Chris told him a story that when he first got his bidet, he invited family and friends over for a party, and served cookies with Exlax baked in them so people would have to use the sh-tter! Amazing. After a few beers and games of pool and skee ball, we all saddled up for our final ride into New York City. Big thanks to NJ Skateshop and Chris Nieratko for everything. Emerica did it again, another epic our. Check their site for extra coverage.
