Zumiez Couch Tour: Adio In Chicago

Chicago was sick! For starters this was the first time the entire tour we actually had two days off before the event to venture into the city and spend a little time away from the orange couch. Yeah, we got touristy. Also, the Best Foot Forward guys and MC Green Weeds are all from Chi-Town—everybody was hyped the entire time.

I feel like I say this every stop, but the skating at the BFF am contest seems like it’s always getting better. Shane Browning was firing off perfectly caught flip trick after perfectly caught flip trick down the stairs and took third place. Miles 50-50ed on the quarterpipe to drop off—pretty crazy. But Corey Hendrick had the whole course in the palm of his hand. Blunt kickflip outs and 360 flips on the quarterpipe was just a small part of his all out assault. Nice one, Corey. We’ll see you again soon.

With MC Green Weeds putting some extra hype into the crowd, the kids were really feeling the Adio demo. Kenny Anderson ripped with his classically incredible style. Joey was all over the manual and I got one of his double manny lines in the video. Steve Nesser, Chris Roberts, Ed Selego, Anthony Schultz, and the rest of the crew were on point as well.

Chicago was the best stop by far, so far, on the Couch Tour. I gotta take a break for the next two and get back to Oceanside, CA. But I’ll be in Salt Lake City in no time.
