For Fall/Winter 2017, the Levi's® Skateboarding collection takes inspiration from the "Sunset Scavengers," the largest organization in San Francisco to collect debris and trash after the great earthquake of 1906. With a nod to Levi's® workwear heritage, the group of men served as the design inspiration for this season's collection. Referencing their iconic silhouettes and taking style cues from '90s era skateboarding – quirky prints, stone wash finishes and relaxed fits work together to round out this collection.
Perhaps the biggest story for this season is the debut of the Levi's® 501® jean introduced in 1873. Skateboarders have been skating in the 501® for more than forty years, but now as an official part of the Levi's® Skateboarding collection, it has been upgraded to withstand the demands of today's skateboarding with Lycra® fiber and CORDURA® fiber. The Levi's® Skateboarding 501® jean is available in four different washes: No Comply, Wallenberg, Rinse and Black.
Other staples from the collection are the Thermal Long Sleeve, Riveter Shirt, Mechanic Jacket, Carpenter Pant and Sherpa Trucker. All taking design cues from timeless workwear silhouettes spanning the last seventy-plus years.
For jeans, The 504® Regular Straight, 511® Slim and 512® Slim Taper all return this season with LYCRA® fiber for stretch and CORDURA® fiber for the strength. These comfortable yet durable garments have become synonymous with the Levi's® Skateboarding Collection.
Last but not least, skateboarding's favorite Work Pant returns with its perfect pocket pouch. Also, the Sweat Pants return with an elastic cuffed leg opening for the perfect post-skate chill pant. These supremely comfortable pants are perfect for on and off the skateboard.
