At 7718 Somerset Boulevard.

Directions?

Take the 91 freeway to Garfield, and head north. Go right on Somerset, and it’s a couple of blocks down on your right.

What’s in the park?

A good hip, a curved quarterpipe, a baby pyramid, ledges, some flatbars, and a little bowl.

Who designed it?

Purkiss Rose.

Hours?

Daylight.

Does it have lights?

I don’t think so.

What’s good about it?

It’s mellow, and it’s a no-pad situation.

What’s bad about it?

Rollerblades and bikes.

What pros skate there?

All the Long Beach heads.

Any admission fees?

Nope.

Do you have to wear pads?

Nope.

What about cops?

Not a problem.

When does it get crowded?

After school, but it’s never too bad.

What are the chances of getting beat up?

Pretty slim, unless you really apply yourself.

One to ten rating.

I’ll give it a seven, just because you can go there and skate until you’re done without worrying about cops or craziness.
