All City Showdown 2008

On Sunday, August 31st, 35 North Skate Shop will be presenting the 3rd annual “All City Showdown”. This is a street contest consisting of teams with one filmer and one skater who will hit the streets of Seattle for 5 hours! At the end of the 5 hours, each filmer/skater turns in their tapes to be edited into a video by Ben Kaplan and judged by a panel of experienced skateboarders who will be paying special attention to tricks, spot selection, filming and quantity of moves as well as quality! 3,000 dollars is up for grabs with $1,500 for first place. Other cash prizes will be awarded for best trick, best filming, best line and worst slam! Many renown skateboarders have participated in All City Showdown including David Gravette, Vince Del Valle and Mike Barker. Jordan Sanchez and Mikey Burton from Manik Skateboards have won the last two years and recent Phenom Cory Kennedy has already signed up for this year’s event.
