Etnies just unveiled a musical treat today: Bad Religion will be kicking out the jams at this year’s Goofy vs. Regular contest. It’s all going down from October 2-5, but there’s plenty more info right here.

ETNIES’ FIFTH ANNUAL GvR SKATE TO FEATURE PUNK ROCK LEGEND BAD RELIGION!

Lake Forest, Calif. (August 27, 2008) – Legendary punk rock band Bad Religion will take the stage at etnies’ annual Goofy vs. Regular (GvR) skateboarding contest on Saturday October 4, 2008 in Lake Forest, Calif.  Bad Religion will perform as a part of the annual competition of goofy-footed versus regular-footed skateboarders, featuring Ryan Sheckler, Chris Cole, Andrew Reynolds, Jereme Rogers and many more.

As skateboarding’s only team-oriented contest, the fifth edition of etnies GvR will feature some of the best skateboarders in the world dueling it out to gain control of the series in the three-day event that is expected to draw a crowd of over 15,000.  Past musical performances have included The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s in 2007 and the Beastie Boys in 2006.

As a leader in the punk rock movement since the 1980’s, Bad Religion is known for their sophisticated style and defiant anti-establishment messages.  They will be performing a free private show for the etnies GvR at 8:00 p.m. in the parking lot above the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest.  While the concert is free, tickets are required for admission and are available at select etnies retailers throughout Southern California.
