At least he has a legitimate excuse for retiring. Kind of a bummer. He had some really fun parts to watch.

Danny was a very innovative skater, but unfortunately like many other skaters a big time liberal, who religiously worshiped Obama. Being the true liberal he is maybe he can go now and ask a health stimulus package from his god!!!
Good luck Danny … maybe one day you will understand who sells the country and why is it so difficult for pro-skaters to live off of skating!

Didn't he have the last trick in the montage section of 'A Time to Shine'? Where he is skating a bank to wall spot and there is like a walkway above where he is skating and he wall-rides to method grab on the bottom of the walkway? That sh!t is crazy. I don't know how a person even thinks of a trick like that, let alone pulls it off. His retirement is definitely skateboarding's loss.

keep your political bigotry out of this, he was a skater first and foremost and thats all that should be said. but while we're on the subject, conservatives are the ones who gave you americans your messed up healthcare system, a little liberal "socialization" of healthcare could have very well saved mr. gonzales' career. What the hell is a "health stimulus package" anyways? you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. Plus the majority of atheists such as myself are left-wing, so your god analogy was poorly aimed and only further displays your ignorance. plus i could beat you in skate, no doubt about it.

No wonder you are an atheist! Secondly i do know what I am talking about, because I come from a communist country and you don't!!! Thirdly socialized health care is a total disaster … just ask Canadians, who wait for a MRI 6-8 months and sometimes a year and wait for an operation 2-5 years if it is not a nonlifethreatening, so Danny under Obama health care would've waited at least 3-4 years for the MRI and a surgery combined, so his pro-career would've been over!!! Before accusing do your homework you liberal-atheist and I ought to know because I come from the kind of country Obama wants to turn this one into!!! And the fact that you are an atheist shows how ignorant you really are!! Also Obama quadrippled the national debt in just a few months with no real success of reviving the economy!

I AM canadian fool. our healthcare is great here, i mean the waits are a bit long but at least we think that people of all incomes deserve equal treatment. did you know that 75% of american bankruptcys are due to medical expenses? and these are mostly people WITH health insurance, who get screwed over by insurance companies that effectively make money off of denying coverage. What country exactly do you come from, communism has failed so far in history but that is mostly because of the totalitarian dictatorships that tried to impliment them, as well as rampant corruption of said governments. I actually disagree with obama's policies so far, because i think bailouts are just a way to waste money while only delaying the inevitable. Also he has done nothing for gay rights, which is something i support while i am heterosexual, even though the homosexual community supported him during his campaign. hahah so atheism is proof of ignorance? thats a pretty heavy claim considering the ignorance needed to actually subscribe to religion, for example the belief that the earth is less than 10 000 years old or the reluctance to accept the overwhelming evidence for evolution. Atheism is just an expression of the scientific probability that god most likely does not exist, due to the complete lack of verifiable evidence and all the real evidence pointing the other way. Please read "the God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins, and we'll see who the real ignoramus is.

Hello "little America wanna be" the waiting is very long over there and a friend of mine is a Canadian and I do know how crappy your system really is. Many Canadians come over the boarder for real treatment and quality service, surgeries etc. Communism doesn't work not because of corruption, but because the system itself doesn't work. You cannot expect people to work as much as they can, but receive as much as they they "need", because is human nature to "need" more then you worked for! As far as "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins … I am very familiar with the book … he is a hopeless communists, who claims there is no such thing as absolute truth, but he is "absolutelly" sure his calim to be true i.e. circular reasoning and a perfect example of self-defeating statement and also calims there is no right and wrong, but goes on to write about all of the "wrong" doings of the church … wait a m inute didn't he believe that there is no such thing as right ans wrong … but again we are talking about the church … so you know that's an exception! As far as science goes please read "The Case for the Creator" by Lee Strobel! Science is on the side of Creationism and many respected Nobel price winners are Christians and Creationists!!! Also Evolutionists constantly refuse to debate Creationists, because they always loose the debates. There are no transition forms discovered, which is an admission of Evolutionists and Darwin admitted that for his theory to be true millions of transition forms must be discovered. Also Carbon dating is proven to be very, very inaccurate and thus the "old-earth" theory (yes it is just a theory) doesn't hold water!! Due to the overwhelming scientific proof many schools and states are now teaching Creationism. The laws of thermodynamics support Creationism and evem little kids know that the world goes from complex to simpler states and from order to chaos … not the other way around as evolution claims. The secular scientific community desperately tries to support Evolution with lies and pseudoscience because an admission that there is a Creator carries with itself many unwanted for them consequences!! If you are a true seeker of the Truth please read the aforementioned book and you will discover for your self that science is on the side of Creationism. As far as for Dawkins book he needs to polish his book and remove the self-defeating arguments in order to gain any real credibility with thinking readers! No pun intended:) God bless!!!

one of the best pro skater of all the time his innovation on skateboarding was superior to any other pro, tail manual olli out down the big 3 in wallenberg in 1997(411 n26) flip nose manny one foot in 1997, flip body varial ss krooks in 411 openers, "spiderman wallride" on tws! his rare skill s will miss to much!!!

I met danny personally he was a really cool person he was at LA Skate in November me and my friend ish pulled up to talk to dave and skate the flat ground, Danny rolls up on his motorcycle with his gf and some boards to sell, he was super nice played us in a game of SKATE, gave us each a board and tuaght my Buddy how to hard flip first pro i met, he's the reason i want to keep getting better.

I believe that he was either having problems with his knee or ankle, which is making it difficult for him to skate.

So you are saying "You think because you think something it's true. You have no understanding of anything." I do not just think something is true, because I think it is true, because I gave a lot of scientific evidences … this is called scientific support, which is actually what separates a purely personal opinion from a well supported scientifically sound one!!! If you go against the scientific proof I quote and counter it with somethig, then maybe you are the one that " … have no understanding of anything"? I mean can anyone write something scientifically supported o well researched? Well no … because if you research you will come to the same conclusion as I did!! Come on fellow skaters love reading and science don't get your information already chewed up by ABC or NBC!!!
