DC is back at it with their global “King” series. The ruckus is going down again at the world-famous Lockwood Elementary School and Belmont High spots with 10 Grand in prize money. DC'S KING OF SERIES RETURNS TO LOS ANGELES
AMATEUR SKATEBOARDING CONTEST TO BE HELD AT LOCKWOOD ELEMENTARY AND BELMONT HIGH OCTOBER 18th
Vista, CA… The DC King of Series returns to Los Angeles on October 18th, 2008 to host the city's biggest un-sponsored amateur street skating contest. Look for the city's best ams to battle for the prestigious DC King of Los Angeles title at Lockwood Ave Elementary and Belmont High's well-known spots.
This year, the contest will feature an invite-only list of 50 skateboarders from around the city. DC team members Rob Dyrdek, Colin McKay, PJ Ladd, Lindsey Robertson, Ryan Smith, Greg Myers and Wes Kremer will help judge and award over $10,000 in cash and prizes during the one-day event.
DC first took over LA's best skate spots just over one year ago, with the DC team on hand to search out the best un-sponsored talent in the city. The DC King of Series began in New York in 2006 with events across its five boroughs, and then traveled the globe finding the best ams in LA, Barcelona and most recently, Sao Paulo.
