Winners Qualify for Wildcard Entry to Globe World Cup Skateboarding inAustralia

For the first time, Globe presentsthe Globe Wildcard Series, a series of skate competitions to be heldacross North America between September and October, 2004. The eventlocations will span cities such as San Francisco, Milwaukee, Seattle,Florida, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Toronto and Montreal.

The Globe Wildcard Series is a qualifying series where the ultimate top2 winners will get a Wildcard Entry into Globe World Cup Skateboardingin Melbourne, Australia. Each of the qualifiers to be held nationallywill have their own special flavor, but all of them will award the top3 place-getters entry into the Globe Wildcard Series final to be heldin Los Angeles.

The top 2 placings from this final will win the ultimate prize;Wildcard Entry into Globe World Cup Skateboarding 2005 to be held inMelbourne, Australia. Arguably the most progressive and exciting stopon the WCS circuit today, GWCS Australia is a strictly invitationalevent, securing the top skateboarders from around the globe to compete.Last years line-up included Tony Trujillo, Danny Way, Rick McCrank,Ryan Sheckler, Greg Lutzka, and 2004 GWCS Champion, Ronnie Creager.

The Globe Wildcard Series is also being held across Europe andAustralasia this summer. The European series includes the Slam Trick inItaly (18-20 June), the Stavanger Open in Norway (18-20 June), and theGlobe Euro Grand Slam in France (23-24 October), with 2 more stops tobe added. The winner from each of these events will get a WildcardEntry into GWCS 05. The Australasian series, now in its 4 th year, isheld across 9 States in Australia, and New Zealand and Japan.
