etnies footwear and the City of Lake Forest are hosting a skatepark groundbreaking celebration. The community event is free, open to the public and offers residents the opportunity to watch a pro demo, as well as the chance to learn more about the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest and view the future site. Scheduled riders include: Mike Vallely, Carlos De Andrade, Chris Lambert, Ryan Sheckler, Jesse Fritsch, Lincoln Ueda, and many more.
The event will be held Saturday, March 1, 2003 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at etnies headquarters located at 20161 Windrow Drive in Lake Forest near Lake Forest Drive and the 241 Toll Road.
Construction of the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest is expected to begin in March. The skatepark is planned to open this summer.
During the community event, skatepark sponsors and City officials will participate in a traditional groundbreaking ceremony. The ceremony will take place on the skatepark site, at the corner of Lake Forest drive and the 241Tollroad, starting at 12:00 p.m.
