Tony Hawk to help in the wake of the Eric Costello tragedy
On hearing about the passing of Eric Costello and about the son he left behind, skating legend Tony Hawk took it upon himself to get involved. After just a few short phone calls, word spread like wildfire. On Sunday, November 20th Tony Hawk and several other professional skateboarders including Corey Duffel, Ron Whaley and Wade Speyer, will hold a demo starting at 1:00pm at the Tim Brauch Memorial Skatepark in Scotts Valley, CA.
The event will be a fund raiser for a trust fund that has been set up for Eric’s son, Taylor. Money will be raised through a BBQ, and raffle with prizes including signed skateboard product from some of the world’s top skateboarders with the top prize being the skateboard Tony rides the day of the demo.
