The Paterson Museum in Paterson, New Jersey is preparing its holiday exhibit, titled Push, Pedal, Pull: Kid Powered Vehicles Of The Twentieth Century. The show is scheduled to open on November 21, and run through February 25, 2001.

The museum curators are currently preparing the exhibit script and are searching for skateboards, in addition to scooters, roller skates, sleds, artwork, pedal cars, soap-box-derby cars, bicycles, and all types of kid conveyance.

In the past the museum has exhibited bicycles, but this is its first exhibition to be more inclusive on the subject of kid-powered toys. Exhibit curators would greatly appreciate any donations from skateboard companies. They are specifically looking for skateboards, artwork, advertising, flat work, or related materials. Any item that is furnished for the exhibit will be donated to the local shelter in the donating company’s name at the end of the exhibition.

The curators say any donation will be properly acknowledged and will be included in the exhibit’s publicity package. For more information, contact Bruce Balistrieri at: patersonmuseum@hotmail.com. Or by phone: (973) 881-3839.
