It’s official, the 5th annual Mo-dart event will takeplace in downtown San Diego on the evening of September 6,2002. Mo-dart will coincide withthe Action Sports Retailer (ASR) trade show and will take place just a few blocks away fromthe convention center in the unique setting of The Reincarnation Project at 333 10th Ave., aspace designed to reflect the roots of skate culture and urban art.
This year, Mo-dart is proud to present Connect 4 — an event to connect four elements of our youth culture.

Mo-dart, through Connect 4 efforts, will feature paintings and photography by some ofAmerica’s most up and coming artists including: Bigfoot, Angela Boatwright, Jaya Bonderov,Grant Brittain, Cycle, Dalek, Dez, Cheryl Dunn, Shepard Fairey, Mathias Fennetaux, BrianGaberman, Richard Harr, Evan Hecox, Human 5, Jon Humphries, Rich Jacobs, Jamil, Andy Jenkins,Jest, Spike Jonze, Natas Kaupas, Derek Kettela, Dave Kinsey, Jen Props Larkin, Scott Lenhardt,Lance Mountain, Adrian Nyman, Mat O’Brien, Mike Parillo, Andrew Pommier, Giovanni Reda, Site,Paul Sharpe, Slick, Joe Sorren, Rostarr, Christopher Ruess, Remy Stratton , Ed Templeton,Miki Vuckovich and Yogi Proctor.
Sal Masekela, host of EXPN’s X Games, will be the MC of this years fashion show that willfeature the newest styles from Copia, Adidas, Billabong, DC Shoe Co., Dr. Martens,NC clothing, Nikita, Sensitive, Sector 9, and more. Kicking off the runway show will beThe Cultifadaz with their very own blend of old skool hip-hop featuring DJ’s Addverse and Prima 1.They will be accompanied by a special live breakdance performance from LA’s finest B Girls: Shasta,Asia l, Peipei and Ambrosia. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for surprise celebrities on the runway.
To celebrate Mo-dart’s five-year anniversary, a diverse set of music will be presented starting off witha cocktail hour performance by singer/songwriter Cory Branan. Following Branan will be DJ Cassette & DJ Tron spinning electro-clash and Nu Wave. Finally DJ Bostich “The godfather of Nortec will be on hand from the Nortec Collective.
