New Park at Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp
Waterville Valley, NH

New for 2005 Waterville Valley Skateboard Camp will be adding a signature medium feature size skateboard park. The new park is designed for the average skater to enjoy and the beginner to progress further. This park will be created by New Hampshire’s own Ralph Murphy from DC Shoes Team and Ed Driscoll from 5 Boro Team. The park will be called the pirates cove, have lights for night sessions, and be just for campers. It looks like summer will be even more fun here in Waterville than expected.

This new park is a great addition to the WVSC facilities and goes great with the foam pit added in last summer to the Superpark. One of the new features will be a hubba built off concrete stairs already present at the facility.

WVSC is in it’s fourth year and if you love to skateboard than this is the place for you. Waterville Valley Skate Camp offers 6 sessions this summer withover-night and day camping available for weekday or weekend sessions, starting June 26, 2005. Overnight campers must be 11 years of age, day campers must be 7, open to girls and boys. The Skate Park is looking awesome this year with the addition of the new lighted Pirate Cove Mini Park, the 4-ft tall 16-ft wide Hubba with stairs (featured at Fall Brawl 2004 Boston MA) and a foam pit! Added to our horseshoebowl, quarter pipes, bank ramp, rails, and so much more the WV park is unbeatable.

Campers not only enjoy skateboarding, included in session tuition is swimming, hiking, mountain biking, boating, and more, all in the scenic White Mountain Area of Waterville Valley. Overnight campers enjoy lodging in Waterville’s centrally located Town Square Condos, over looking many stores and restaurants, only a short walk to the WVSC Skate Park. All campers take part in a New Hampshire skate park tour, along with movie night to a local theater one night for ourovernight campers. Meals are provided, and dinner is served by the Waterville Valley Conference Center.

Returning this year is our excellent staff of coaches from the New England Area, including Ralph Murphy, Mike Rhault, and Ed Driscoll of the Eastern Boarder team. There will also be cameo appearances by local skaters and surprise guests to be announced, not to mention a weekly stop by the folks at Red Bull. So come skate, stay, and play, at Waterville Valley Skatecamp 2005!
