Nike Dunk Auction Raises $30,000.00

Sessions and The Tim Brauch Memorial Fund is pleased to announce the closing of the first Nike Skateboarding Charity Dunk Auction with a winning bid of $30,000 on Sept. 6, 2003. Sandy Bodecker, Kevin Imumura, Chris Reed, Hunter Muraira and the fine folks at Nike held the auction on EBay, and agreed to split the proceeds to The Tim Brauch Fund (timbrauch.com) and Skaters for Portland Skateparks (pdxskaters.org).

Currently the Tim Brauch Fund is fundraising to build it’s first park to be built in Tim’s name in Scotts Valley, CA. The park will be 20,000 sq. feet of concrete complete with a bowl. Of $500,000 needed to break ground, the fund has raised $470,000 prior to the auction, making the contribution from Nike a giant step towards completing this effort.

On behalf of the Tim Brauch Memorial Skatepark Fund, Sessions would like to extend our appreciation and a huge thank you to Nike for their generous contribution.
