POWER SHOES Kicks Off2005 Power-Skate Challenge – Amatuer Photo/Video Contest
Power’s Pro Skate Team – Dayne Brummet, Mike Crum, Holly Lyons, Falco Baltys To Decide Which Amateurs Get Weekly Free Stuff
Power Shoes today announced the launch of the Power-Skate Challenge photo competition, providing amateur skaters the chance to grab limelight and prizes every week between now and Dec. 15, 2005. Partnering with Cool Girl Skateboards, Independent, Lake Owen Camp, Bones Wheels, Soul Trip, World Industries, Utopia Optics, Premium Skateboards and Grind King, Power Skate will award to 20 weekly photo or video winners a skate-pack loaded with Power Shoes and skateboard paraphernalia such as boards, trucks, eyewear, wheels, stickers, t-shirts and more.
Amateur riders who want to enter can submit digital skateboard photos or video of themselves to Power’s pro-rider judging panel, who will pick one winning skate action image or sequence per week. Pro panelists will make the call based on skate style, degree of difficulty, uniqueness of location and execution, and each week’s money shot will be posted on power-skate.com. Skaters of any age can enter, (parent’s signature needed for under-18 riders) but they must be unsponsored.
On Dec. 15, 2005, an overall Grand Prize winner will be selected from among all weekly winners, with a free week at Lake Owen Skate Camp at stake as the final Grand Prize. Contest entries must be postmarked between June 15 and December 1, 2005, with submissions snail-mailed on a CD to:
