Rowley [SPV] Launch Party at House of Vans
Vans and Geoff Rowley had a ton of good friends in New York City over the weekend for the Maloof Money Cup and we celebrated the release of Geoff’s new signature shoe, the Rowley [SPV] on Saturday, June 4 at House of Vans in Brooklyn, NY. The party, which doubled as Geoff’s birthday soiree, featured a blazing performance by High on Fire and from DJ Leo Fitzpatrick who rocked tunes for the 800 or so who came out for the night. Just a few of the faces seen at the House of Vans included Tony Alva, Lance Mountain, Pat Ngoho, AVE, Johnny Layton, Tony Trujillo, Dustin Dollin, Curren Caples, Andrew Langi, Bryan Herman and legendary photographer Glen E. Friedman who stopped by to catch up with TA. While many just caught up and listened to the music, a session at the House of Vans bowl ran until the end of the night.
With the Rowley [SPV], Geoff’s 15th signature Vans shoe, the idea was to create a super-lightweight shoe that was all function and no gimmicks. Slimming down the outsole and modifying the waffle tread, Rowley’s progressive new model is one of the lightest, lowest, grippiest skate shoes out there.
