The SLS Nike SB World Tour is set to take place in Los Angeles this weekend on July 27 at the Galen Center at USC and with just one more event remaining in the season, skater performance here will determine the roster for the $200,000 SLS Nike SB Super Crown World Championship in August in New York. In addition, tonight Thursday, July 24 The Street League Skateboarding Foundation and its founder, Rob Dyrdek, along with Nick Diamond, founder of Diamond Supply Co., and The California Endowment will join Councilmember José Huizar, Senate Pro Tem Kevin De Leon, Assembly Member Jimmy Gomez, and Department of Recreation and Parks will host a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the Grand Opening of a $320,000 state-of-the-art skate plaza at Hazard Park in Boyle Heights at 5 p.m.
