Sun Diego San Dieguito Rail Challenge
On Saturday November 23rd, Sun Diego Boardshop hosted a Circa demo attheir Parway Plaza location. To spice things up a little, they hadKingrails bring out the famous San Dieguito Handrail and decided to have abest trick contest. While the Circa team was inside the store signingautographs for millions of happy groms, things were starting to heat upoutside. Chris Dobstaff and Adam Louder were the first to step to therail. Chris started trying halfcab bluntslides and Louder threw down abacklip with no effort at all. T-Bone, Brandon Turner, and Oscar Jordanjoined in the session. But it wasn’t until Osiris am James Brockman showedup that things started getting gnarley. James stole the show with an allout assault on the ten stair handrail. Everything came within three tries,switch krookies, switch five-o’s, kickflip front boards, nollie frontboards, ollie over to front krooks, front blunt to fakie, nose blunt slide,and the trick of the day, a frontside 270 lipslide with way too much ease.
James walked away with the cash prize for best trick, but he wasn’t theonly one killing it. Sun Diego team riders Steve McNeal and Kashawn Jacksonthrew down crowd pleasing switch 180 to five-0s and fakie big flips,respectively. Honorable mention goes out to another Sun Diego rider JamesMcknight for frontside feebles, tailslides, and kickflip boardslides.
