(July 11, Everett, WA): Zumiez, the leading youth lifestyle specialty retailer, continued the 2002 Zumiez “Hit and Run” Skateboard Tour last weekend in Sacramento, CA.
The “Hit and Run” tour, happening since early June, has drawn thousands of spectators at each stop so far. The first two dates in Salt Lake and Denver featured the Element team, including Bam Margera, Kenny Hughes, Jeremy Wray, Colt Cannon, Terry Kennedy, Jake Rupp, and more. The events included an amateur ‘nontest; invitational contest judged by the Element team, skate demos and autograph signings by the Element team. Volcom took over in Albany and W. Nyack, NY, with thousands of people turning out to see Geoff Rowley, Brian Sumner, and Mark Appleyard. An instore performance by Volcom Entertainment band ‘Arkham’ added a new level of mayhem—and fun—to the tour. A new level of FREE STUFF was reached, with kids doing insane stunts to score free decks and tons of other free schwag. Check out the tour slideshow at www.zumiez.com
Don’t miss the last tour date, featuring the Adio team including Brian Sumner, Jeremy Wray, Vinny Vegas, and Ed Selego. The final tour stop happens Saturday, July 20 starting at noon in the Mall of America parking lot, Minneapolis, MN. Complete details at www.zumiez.com
