This year, we’ve got the Workshop’s two newest pros and Element’s gnarly Nick Gar in the running. Best Rookie Nominee: Gilbert Crockett

Virginia’s own Gilbert Crockett came out swinging in 2012 with serious hammer time in Alien’s The Cinematographer Project section. His photos in our mag were gnarly, and his Cell Out part is a cult classic!

Best Rookie Nominee: Nick Garcia

Nick dropped heavy parts for etnies and Element in early 2012. He snatched our coveted Am Issue cover with this mind-bending hurricane in the desert.
