aiight. we all know that Shane Cross ( R.I.P ) died in '07 and that was a tragedy, worse than the movie Grind. He was an amazing skater along with the man who was with him that early moring, Ali Boulala. If you don't know yet, he was sentenced for four years in prison for manslaughter. I wanna know what you guys think about this. I think he doesn't deserve to be in there that long. I think he does need to go to jail for tops a year. Now, you all might be wondering why I want a skater to go to jail and the reason why was because he did have something to do with the death of Shane. It was an accident, don't get me wrong, but just because he's an amazing skater doesn't mean that he should get away with it. Ali is sick and now we have two amazing skaters out of the community and I think that Ali should have gotten a lighter sentence.

I really don't think he should be in jail that long, If it was a Professinal Football player he would have been in there for a few months top.

Really he is going to be in some serious training when he gets out, I couldn't go 4 years without skating at all, I'd be horrible when I steped back on my skateboard.

i agree the sentence should be shorter. yea he killed someone but it was an accident so he has to go to jail and live with death on his shoulders for the rest of his life. it just doesnt seem very fair.

I'm pretty sure he can't skate anyway. I've heard that he is still pretty messed up and may never really skate again…at least not like he could before.

As marley said “if i am guilty then i will pay”. I'll bet Ali has already suffered more guilt than most could understand. As far as i can tell, Ali is a good dude, this sentance probably will just help him let go of his guilt. The bull about Ali getting 4 years is that not 3 years ago our governer (south dakota) killed a motorcyclist because he ran a stop sign. He got 100 days and some community service. He was a piece of shit. Ali deserves to at least have his board and be able to watch all the new footage that is coming out while he is in there. Like Duncombe wrote on his board: PARTY IN PEACE!

ali committed a crime and so, accident or not, he has to serve some time. i agree that four years seems a big harsh, but the fact of the matter is a person is dead and the courts can't just let that slide and put him in jail for a short time. it totally sucks that he won't be able to skate for four years. i really wish he could get a reduced sentence somehow. im sure he feels like shit enough because of what happened, even though it was an accident.
