Would you rather skate an old skool board, like the ones you see on Lords of Dogtown, or a new board like then one you most likely skate with now? I like old boards cuz hey are more of a smooth ride and they are fairly flexible if you land wrong

I fool around on my brother's old school board all the time but, I'd much rather skate a normal 7 ply any day. It depends if your skating to get from point A. to Point B. or if you want to go try your hand at carlsbad.

old school boards are great for cruising, but you give up a lot of control skating one.


I'll stick to my regular 7.75 for tricks and stuff, but an old school board is fun to cruise on once in a while.

i have one of both. i use the old skool to cruise but i can do most of the tricks i can do on a new skool on it. but i use my 7.6 to do tricks rather than mess up my powel vallely remake.

I agree I like just riding my old skool but i would much rather do tricks on my 7.75
