i know everybody's hating on sheckler… but come on.. if you were approached by MTV and they asked you to do a TV show, would you turn it down?.. he's just trying to make it with skating.. and he fuckin rips too!!  this whole skeckler thing will pass, its just another phase in skateboarding, its coming full circle

its just like with tony hawk back in the day he was hated on too for being good and workin hard but thats what haters do motivate

One of the cool things about skateboarding is that there are so many different personalities that skate. There's gangstas, punks, jocks, hicks, Christians, atheists, actors, rappers, whatever. We are all brought together by the bond of skateboarding. Sheckler is yet another personality. Yes, his stuff on MTV is lame. Oh well. He contributes some great talent to skateboarding.  As for the message he sends to kids, sure that is lame too. But the spirit of skateboarding will never change, and the freak mutant breed of quasi-skateboarders that he's inadvertantly breeding will probably never understand that spirit of skating.  Sheckler's a super sick skater….that's about it. Don't waste your time worrying about it though.

i mean he duz cry and stuff and he has brought publicity to skating, but the wrong kind. everyone thinks we are all like x - games skaters and stuff. its ppl like him that are killing skating. and why is that dude a few posts up hatin on muska? muskas the bomb

That is essentially what Ryan Sheckler's message is.  And MTV? Fuck MTV. Fuck paris Hilton and the L.A. clubs. If you're going to have a show atleast have skating on it not a reality show. It just pisses me off and im sure other people that are persuaded by an interview that was even more convincing why Ryan Sheckler sucks. I hate him more than Chad Muska.
