It’s already been blasted across the Internet that Lutzka won his third Tampa Pro, so here’s the footage to back it up. Everybody in the top twelve is here and it was some of the best skating we’ve seen under one roof all year. But that’s what you always get at any Tampa contest.

is it just me or is “P-Rod” boring as hell, he skates like he doesnt even wanna be there, Chaz Ortiz shouldve place over him if not a bunch of these other skaters. Dont get me wrong hes super talented, but hes lacking in the creativity department, too predictable.

why all the on p-rod, he has the cleanest style ever, and throws down switch better than half the pros can do regular. sure creativity is nice, but it’s just another bandwagon that’ll die down in a year or two, and there’s nothing wrong with just throwin down some good ol’ bangers

Yep, P-Rod should have placed lower here. If what we saw here was is representative then the judging left a bit to be desired. I would have placed Jani Laitiala higher than fifth. I don’t think that Lutzka deserved first either.

I like Chaz or Jani should have won. Greg and Paul do the same tricks at every contest just so they can win. I like them both but they should concentrate on putting out a good video part and give someone else a chance, or at least switch it up. Look at Eric Koston’s winning run last year. Flip into this grind and that grind, flip to manny, switch heel, back noseblunt. Crazy and he mixed it up. That is what it takes

Skateboarding survived 2 recessions and it will survive this one. Skating cant die because the people who aren’t sponsored or pro, the majority of skateboarders, will keep skating no matter what. no matter how corporate big shots try to sneak their way into skating it cant stop the love that keeps millions all over the world on a board. skating has never and never will “die” only the corporate interest and its popularity in the mainstream will fluctuate.

Screw all you haters, do you know how much practice, persistence, and steeze it takes to make skateboarding look so flawless just as p rod and lutzka do. And p rod is amazing at switch if you havent noticed. Lutzka is one of the few skaters who has mastered insanely difficult tricks and he uses his trademarks tricks, so what! If any of you mastered those tricks I guarantee you would be throwing them down in competitions when consistency is so very key.

If skateboarding dies…does that make it not cool again, and if so will it also make it not fun? Those people worried about skateboarding dieing or whatever are scenesters.As big as skateboarding is,its not even close to as big as baseball,or basketball,tennis,even hockey! Why worry about the money in skateboarding and just worry about skateboarding in general.Lose your plaid bright colored shirts and ray ban knock offs, and your pants so tight…and what do you have? Chaz Ortiz should have been first. I do agree tha Lutzka has some played out tricks. I have seen him at the park a hand full of times in the past month preceding the event. I was there and it was awesome. I am at the SPoT almost every day. The clips shown here did not do the venue nor the talent present that day justice. Ortiz’s first or second run was absolutely flawless. Hands down he was king there at 13 if YOU BELIEVE IT. Everyone brought their skillz and slung them raw. It is questionable that a NikeSB rider won. hmmmmmmm…… SPoT ROCKS!

Skateboarding will never die. It’s like rock n’ roll. I’ve been skating since wheels were clay and I LOVE watching this sh!# Contests are never perfect and there are always people who place better then they should. Whatever, it’s art, not a sport. I’m gonna go skate now.
