After being handpicked by Jamie Thomas and Chris Cole, Tom Asta has risen from Philly unknown to Mystery pro faster than most. Following a switch heelflip down LOVE Park for his intro ad in '10, Tom spent a year filming for is Color Theory part, which dropped last March.

Best Rookie Nominee: Ishod Wair

Also nominated for Best Rookie, and also privy to a light-speed rise from East Coast (New Jersey) skate rat to the pro ranks (for Real last December), Ishod Wair's breakout slow mo–laced Since Day One part was listed by many as one of the standouts of the entire video. In addition, he won Maloof DC am contest and took the overall gold (and 100,000-dollar check) at Maloof South Africa.

Best Rookie Nominee: Wes Kremer

Possibly the first person ever to go pro (and find out he went pro) on a TWS cover (our November 2011 issue), Wes manhandled the last part of Not Another TransWorld Video, then went on to share a part with P-Kid in The Sk8mafia Video released later last year.

The winners will be announced February 16, 2012 in Hollywood, California. Follow us @transworldskate on Twitter/Instagram for up-to-the-minute news and photos.
