The Vans Warped Tour has officially announced its 1999 line-up of performers and attractions Thursday night at the Vans Skatepark located in Orange Ca. In an effort to keep the Vans Warped Tour New and exciting each year, 1999 offers a unique line-up of hip-hop, punk, hard rock, and ska.Among the names heading up the tour’s fifth annual North America jaunt are Eminem, Sevendust, Pennywise, Blink 182, Black Eyed Peas, Less Than Jake, Dropkick Murphy, Mexico’s Molotov, and Australia’s The Living End, Grinspoon and Franzal Rhomb.This year the tour will have featured performers on two main stages, a side stage and a truly local stage booked by each markets promoter. Skaters on the tour feature Steve Caballero, Mike Frazier, and Neil Hendrix among others. This year’s Vans Warped Tour will introduce a number of new attractions. One of these, the ModArt and Groove tent is a collaboration of fashion, art, photography, skateboarding culture and music. ModArt will feature a daily art show including pieces from artists from the world of skateboarding, snowboarding and music. The tent will also feature a daily fashion show in which audience members will be chosen as models. During the art and fashion show the I.E. Orchestra and Common Sense will perform live.
