adidas Skateboarding releases the new Matchcourt, a fresh take on technical skateboarding footwear. A reimagined design inspired by the classic 1975 Nizza, the Matchcourt is a court-style silhouette redesigned and engineered for skateboarding.
The original Nizza rubber-toe, high-top and low-profile design proved attractive to skateboarders searching for skateable shoes in the 70s. World renowned artist and pro skateboarding icon Mark "Gonz" Gonzales, skated the Nizza in the 80s. Today, adidas Skateboarding athletes Na-Kel Smith and next generation skateboarders are picking up on the movement and classic styling of the Matchcourt sneaker.
The new Matchcourt features adidas classic rubber-toe shoe design with updated details to improve comfort, grip and durability. The classic profile, vulcanized-sole and rubber-toe cap makes the Matchcourt an ideal addition to any sneaker collection including skateboarders and sneaker enthusiasts alike.
Three classic colorways will kick off the release of the new Matchcourt in high-tops, which will include black/white, scarlet/white and white/white combinations with additional colorways slated for release early 2016. The Matchcourt will be available only through specialty retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting today, December 21.
