adidas signs Dennis Busenitz to Skateboarding Team

adidas welcomes Dennis Busenitz as its latest rider to join the adidas Skateboarding Team. Alongside legend, Mark Gonzales, Dennis will be riding in 3-stripe footwear effective immediately.

Skate industry vet, and Team Manager, Bryce Kanights states that Dennis is “an authentic, all around skate rat with one of the best nicknames in skateboarding… adding that, “his low key attitude, powerful and natural ability are a highly welcome fit to our growing skate program.

Making his home in San Francisco, CA, Dennis was born in Kansas and lived with his parents in Germany for 13 years. Busenitz is well known for his adaptive style and versatility. adidas Skateboarding has been searching for the perfect addition to its growing team for close to a year, and Dennis is it. “I was impressed by his drive and intellect says Sports Marketing Manager, Cody Goldberg, adding, “and mostly by the way he couldn’t wait to leave our office to go hit Burnside.

Dennis has steadily gained attention in recent years with his well-rounded skills in competitions, magazine coverage and skate videos. He was recently was awarded TransWorld SKATEboarding‘s 2006 “Street Skater of the Year.

Dennis, Bryce and 15 members of the adidas Skateboarding flow team will hit the road immediately after the Action Sports Retailer trade show this week, road tripping up the West Coast, skating, and dropping in on retailers along the way.

In July, adidas Originals launched its skateboarding collection with footwear and apparel at select, core retailers.
