Globe is proud to announce the Finals of the Globe Wildcard Series and Gallaz Skate Jam to be held at the Torrance Skatepark on November 21, 2004 in Torrance, California. The Globe Wildcard Series has set the stage for new talent and the presence of today’s leading skateboard professionals to showcase their amazing talents in the most anticipated contest of the year for participants, media, and enthusiasts. The depth of the field of skaters at each event in the series has proven that skateboarding is thriving, and talent is everywhere awaiting the opportunity to be noticed. After three months, twelve cities, and hundreds of skaters, the Globe Wildcard Series returns to California for the highly anticipated finale. The tour has spanned the great cities of San Francisco, Seattle, Milwaukee, Florida, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, and Los Angeles, awarding the top three winners from each of the qualifiers entry into the Globe Wildcard Series Final. Unlike any other skate contest, the Globe Wildcard Series will give two amateur skaters the opportunity of a lifetime. The ultimate two winners from the final will win a wildcard entry into the “Invitation Only Globe World Cup of Skateboarding to be held in Melbourne, Australia in February 2005. For the past six years the Gallaz Skate Jam has been the only all girls skate contest to bring together competitors from around the world. After invading countries from the UK to Germany, the 7 th Annual Gallaz Skate Jam sets a precedent coming to the US for the first time. The Final for the Gallaz Skate Jam will take place on November 21, 2004 at the Torrance Skatepark. The top winner of the final will receive a wild card entry into the exclusive “Invitation Only Gallaz Skate Jam to be held in Melbourne, Australia in February 2005 in conjunction with the Globe World Cup of Skateboarding. Confirmed skaters include Globe Team Rider Vanessa Torres, and Gallaz Team Riders Lauren Mollica, Patiane Freitas, and Violet Kimble. While the event is open to the public for viewing, only the thirty-six winning finalists from the Globe Wildcard Series and winning Gallaz Skate Jam finalists will be able to compete in the Final.

The Jam

We got a little shin dig brewing for Dec. 12th at the Boardline Skate Park, West Chester, PA called the JAM. “The JAM” is an event that is aimed towards getting skaters together to “Skate and Create” in a jam style format.

Two Jams: Flat ground and Handrail broken into Grom and Open divisions.

No tricks are “Outlawed” no style taboo, no safety runs boring us to tears just skaters jamming while the DJ’s mix it up innovating and creating feeding off of the mutual energy.

No judges, the crowds and skaters judge themselves with creativity, innovation and line at the fore front of consideration. Take the best aspects of Best Trick/SKATE and with a little bit a break-dance face off and you got “The JAM”!

We are looking sponsors for this historically fun event and we would appreciate your support! If you would like to sponsor become a sponsor of this event contact AJ Kohn at : akohn@hotmail.com
