House of Vans Chicago Grand Opening

House of Vans opened another space this past weekend in Chicago. Filled with nearly 900 skateboarders, music fans, and media members, the night kicked off with a set from The Blackouts and funneled into a performance from Chicago’s newest hip-hop artist, Noname. The night kept on with Digable Planets getting everyone to move, and was capped off with a set from Future Islands—one of the most energetic, (and amazing), live bands. The opening weekend also included photography and mixed media workshops, as well as open skate jams. Check a couple photos from the Grand Opening below. —Victoria Sanders
