Op Girls Learn To Ride (Op GLTR) willhost “Girls Night Only” events at some of the best skate parks in thecountry this summer, including Vans Skateparks and ESPN Skate parks. Theevents will include Op GLTR clinics, which will be taught by top femaleprofessional riders from skateboarding and BMX (and inline skating at selectlocations). These experts will provide hands-on training with an emphasis onsafety and skill development, enabling participants to learn all of thebasic skills necessary to ride responsibly and enjoy the sport. There willalso be a discounted riding session for women and girls of all skill levelswho want to participate in “Girls Night Only,” but do not wish to take alesson.

“This is a rare opportunity for girls to be allowed exclusive access tothese facilities during the evening hours,” says Mark Sperling, eventdirector. “They will be able to take skateboarding or BMX lessons or justhang out with other women who enjoy these sports.”

September 18-19 Vans Skatepark Orlando, Fla.

Op GLTR clinics are 3 hours in length and prices vary by location. Pleasearrive an hour early to register and to be fitted for equipment. All girlsmust bring their own skateboard or BMX bike. We also recommend wearing jeansor shorts and skate or tennis shoes. Girls under the age of 18 must have aparent or guardian present at the time of registration or have the waivernotarized prior to registration.
